(More customer reviews)This book succeeds on three fronts: describing various real world approaches to locating facilities (e.g. fire stations, businesses), describing the mathematical models used to solve these facility location problems as well as how to solve these problems using a GIS or linear programming package. The book is approachable, well written, contains many diagrams and illustrations and is suitable for use as a beginning to intermediate textbook.
