(More customer reviews)This book isn't for a casual reader, but it is a must have for anyone who is passionate about reptiles (snakes in particular). The chapters are highly relevant and current. The contributers are leaders in the field and add a great deal of insight on a wide variety of ecology and conservation issues. The editors do a great job of introducing the importance of snake conservation and highlighting some of the concerns plaguing snake conservation. Definitely not a book that will sit on a shelf and I will use it as a reference for many years to come.
